My answer to a delicious way to spring up with a burst of energy in the morning or even any time during the day? A tropical energy smoothie! This one is packed with rich sources in health-promoting nutrients such as vitamin C, folate, iodine and more.

Prep and Cook Time: 5 minutes
Serving Size: 1

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoon tahini
  • 1 medium ripe banana
  • 1 medium papaya
  • 1-1/2 cups pineapple juice
  • 1 cup low-fat plain yogurt
  • Low-fat whip cream (optional)

Directions:

Cut the banana into pieces and scoop out the flesh of the papaya with a spoon. Add fruits to blender with rest of ingredients. Blend until smooth. Pour the smoothie into a tall glass and decorate with low-fat whip cream and a a skewer of fruits if you wish!
