"I know, I know. We've talked about the neon trend before. But
what can we say? It's just that big this season. Introducing

Neon color is all the rage this summer. Hot pink, electric orange, lime green, fluro yellow and bright turquoise have made quite a comeback, from the runways to the streets. These energetic colors can be somewhat intimidating – fun sure, but intimidating. However, wearing neon is a great way to welcome the summer heat and to match that bubbly mood of yours inside. Here are a few quick neon how-to’s…

  • Accessorize

Stuck in a neutral (read: colorless) rut? A little neon goes a long way. Accessorizing is a commitment-free way to incorporate the neon trend into your wardrobe. Scarves, belts, shoes, handbags and jewelry are all simple and inexpensive ways to add a punch of color to any outfit. Guaranteed.

  • Neutrals

Put those neutrals to use. Combining neon with neutrals is not merely a match made in fashion heaven, but also the perfect stepping stone if you’re prepared to go beyond neon accessories. Choosing to wear just one piece of neon clothing with a neutral color palette allows the bright color to be the true focus of the outfit, creating a bold, yet still relatively tame look.

  • Color blocking

Feeling bold? This is for those who believe they can take on the next level. Our love for color-blocking has been well documented. Color blocking is exactly what it sounds like, wearing blocks of color. It’s all about mixing and matching two to three pop, bold, bright colors at the same time to create a contrast yet a complementary color outfit. The best part is, all you need is the guts and let the colors work their magic. Go wild! Almost all combinations work.

What do you think? Will you embrace the neon fever this summer?
