Braids, braids, and more braids: with so many possible varieties, the Katniss Everdeen look of last summer hasn’t run its course yet. Play around with this messy fishtail like Tory Burch or get creative and combine it with any of the aforementioned hairstyles.

If you’re in a hurry and don’t have extra time to spend on hair, never fear because the classic low pony is your quick fix! (above photo: Christian Dior runway)

As for cut, keep it simple! Ultra long hair reminiscent of ancient goddesses and mermaids is in. Choose a blunt or layered cut – whatever works best for your facial shape. (above photo: Just Cavalli Spring 2013)

If simple isn’t your thing, try the slightly wild half-shaved head – there are many variations of this look, from Rihanna’s subtle patch to shaving the entire side of the head complete with razored designs on the shaved portion. The look is even possible without any shaving required – one side of the head can be made to appear shaved by slicking it down with lots of mousse. Fortunately, the shaved patch can be covered by the rest of the hair if necessary – but beware, this look is best for those endowed with thick hair!
